Tumbling Mill Package
Grinding efficiency is decided by where the charge lands inside the mill. POP001 measures that toe position at high resolution, letting you run the mill close to maximum capacity without risking overload.
The critical factor in optimizing the efficiency and performance of the grinding process is mastering the toe position of the mill charge. Where the charge lands inside the shell shows how much of the grinding energy actually reaches the material, and how much is spent hammering liners and lifters.
POP001 continuously measures toe position with two vibration transducers mounted on the mill shell and one speed sensor. Operators see the early onset of an overload condition as it develops, and can set the feed rate to give ideal grinding conditions.
The overall purpose of the package solution is to keep the tumbling mill running as close as possible to maximum working capacity while avoiding the risk of mill overload, underload and freewheeling. Optimizing the toe position also has a positive impact on particle size distribution.
The package further enables monitoring of wear-and-tear on the liner and lifters, outlet blockage, density, and big rock occurrence.
Specify the desired cable length when ordering: 3, 5, 10, 20 or 30 metres. In addition to the package, one Condmaster.NET toe position dashboard subscription (CM-S101) is required per vibration transducer; two transducers therefore require two subscriptions.
