Scope
- Periodic calibration. Calibration of Leonova Diamond, Leonova Emerald, Bearing Checker and VibChecker instruments, with a calibration certificate.
- Transducer checking. Transducer line test (TLT) and sensitivity verification for shock pulse and vibration transducers.
- Repair. Diagnosis of faulty instruments and repair with original spare parts.
- Software. Instrument firmware and Condmaster Ruby version updates, licence management.
- Leonova Service Program (PRO52). A periodic maintenance agreement covering your instrument.
- Continuous monitoring system maintenance. On-site inspection of Intellinova and Machine Guard installations, cable and sensor integrity testing.
Why regular calibration?
Condition monitoring decisions rest on measured values. A trend from an instrument whose calibration has not been verified can mean a false alarm or, worse, a missed fault. Periodic calibration secures the reliability of the predictive maintenance programme itself.
Frequently asked questions
How often should a vibration measuring instrument be calibrated?
The generally accepted practice is annual calibration. If the instrument has been dropped, struck or exposed to liquid, or if measurements show unexplained deviations, it should be calibrated without waiting for the interval. Transducers are assessed separately: cable and connector fatigue causes problems more often than sensor sensitivity drift, so running the transducer line test (TLT) on every measurement round is recommended.
