The Ex version of the SLD7xx series. It generates a 4-20 mA signal proportional to vibration velocity in the specified frequency and measuring range, and can be connected to suitable certified instruments inside a potentially explosive atmosphere. Connection to non-certified equipment must go through a suitable Ex barrier (e.g. SPM 83234, MTL7787+).

The housing and base are stainless acid-proof steel, suitable for aggressive environments. Mechanical fastening uses mounting studs with M6, M8, M10 or UNF 1/4" thread, connected through the M8 tapped hole on the transmitter.
The electrical interface is either a 2-pin MIL-C-5015 connector or an integrated 2-wire cable with shield (3, 5, 10 or 20 m).
As with the SLD7xx, the series splits into six codes by measuring and frequency range: SLD82x covers 2–1000 Hz and SLD83x covers 10–1000 Hz, each with 12.5 / 25 / 50 mm/s full scale.
In the Ex version the loop resistance is max. 300 Ω at 24 V DC (600 Ω on the non-Ex SLD7xx); allow for this difference when designing the cabling.
